Linda "Wonder Woman" Carter
c
Linda began playing pool in college when some friends dragged her down to the student union. Soon, she was winning local tournaments. When she was sent to Everett, Washington for her externship in Radiology, she found the closest tavern and signed up to play in the local leagues. She took her team from 2nd to last place up to 1st place. She then moved to Seattle and joined the Greater Seattle Women's 8-Ball League. That year, she won MVP with a 91% win/loss record out of over 300 women competing. She also won their President's Day Tournament 2 years in row. Linda became the first female house pro for Jillian's, but gave that position up in order to spend more time with her children, Shawn and Carina. Linda also has a full time professional career in Medical Sales, frequently using her background in Radiology, Mammography, and Bone Density studies.

c
She has had 3 articles published in various medical journals regarding breast cancer, mammography, and breast ultrasound. Currently, her son, Shawn (20), is a nationally sponsored aggressive inline skater, and her daughter, Carina (14), is a model and also an honor student in the gifted program at her junior high school.

She is now a WPBA touring pro and is searching for a sponsor. She was ranked 37th after only 4 tour stops (out of 13) in 1994, and is currently ranked 41st. A pool player for 28 years, she has been in several magazine and newspaper articles and two television appearances on the Ross Shafer Show for pool. She has had her photo in Pool and Billiard magazine and her name mentioned in Billiard's Digest a few times.

Linda was instrumental in forming the Northwest Regional Tour for the Association of Cuesports for Women, which is now the Northwest Regional Tour for the WPBA, and she is President of the United Pool Players Association. The UPPA intend to bring validation to the world of billiards as a sport and as a profession, bringing unprecedented payouts to pool tournaments and leagues. Linda will be resigning from the ACW at the end of this year.

Competing throughout Canada and the western United States, Linda has played in several large open tournaments, including the Reno Open and LA Open, where she was followed around by a camera crew for a local news feature. She was the first female House Pro for Jillian's Billiard Club in Seattle, and recently helped Jeanette Lee make a commercial for Virtual Pool 3 (Released Oct. 2000).

Some of her many accomplishments include:

1996 5th Place BCA National 9-Ball Championships, Atlantic City, NJ
